So basically you are saying that this is boy's club, and if a girl wants to enter it, they have play by their rules?
Nope. Don't walk into hostile territory and then expect people to act differently.
Because this is how the Peta analogy works. They are a group of animal lovers (not in the south park sense). So if you enter their group, you have to play by their rules.
You're really bad at abstract thought. That's not what I said at all. I'm not entering their group. I showed up and skinned a deer. I don't have to play by their rules, at all.
I disagree with that. The analogy is bad. Gaming isn't something that centered around males by itself. This however is the case with Peta. They are a group of people who like animals, by default. You won't be a member of Peta if you don't like their ideals. You can play Zelda however, without being a guy.
I have no idea where you took that thought train.
If you say that the gaming world is made by guys for guys, I would still disagree, but you logic would at least be coherent.
My logic slapped you in the face and it pissed you off. I'm advocating people take responsibility for their actions. Cause and effect. Causation. Females are entering a realm where anonymity has given children more courage to act foolish and say foolish things. These children will almost certainly grow out of this phase. All players get harassed playing online, just a different type. It's actually incredibly sexist to say that women should be differently in online gaming than men. If we are all equal, than we are all equally capable of dealing with stupid people online.
