Doesn't feel like a job to me. Sorry you feel that way. But that's your own perspective. Mine is the game is fun and I don't NEED to have whatever time gated exotics they've got tucked away in my inventory to enjoy the experience.
Also, those that complain the most are the vocal minority. The majority of us just play the game.

Pretty sure we would need a vote in order to discern whether or not the majority hate timegates, can't really make this claim without a test on the whole community.

Well you're not gonna get the whole community because the whole community doesn't use the forums. At best you'll get maybe 300-500 people that happen to be browsing the forums in the ~24 hours that the poll is popular. Polls mean absolutely nothing here. It'd be like the next president being decided by counting votes from only 1 state.
