Grixis ripped his sword out of the chest of the Minotaur, then swapped it out for Necrochasm on his back, then went back to the massive warzone in front of him. He and his forces had been fighting on the surface of Venus for at least three hours now, and were steadily advancing on the Vex, towards the Vault of Glass. The Vex were right now fighting on two fronts, the first being his side near the Ishtar Cliffs with him, Calvik, and Men'kaar leading it, and the other front near the Citadel with Vôlik-Dal and Stronix leading the second front. Another hour of all out war went by when they reached the entrance to the Vault. And there were Vex everywhere. He looked towards the other side of the area and saw Vôlik-Dal and the giant form of Stronix approaching, along with the Hive force under their command. Instead of charging into the fray, they stopped where they were, and waited. Minutes later, he heard them. The sound of wings beating in the air. He looked out toward the ocean to see the titanic shape of the Ahamkara, Shovaroth. The Vex opened fire on him, even though they were too far away. Even if they weren't, they wouldn't do any damage to him. The moment Shovaroth was in range, he unleashed a torrent of green fire from his maw, incinerating all the Vex in the area. And definitely left the ground scorched too. Grixis and all of his Blades broke off from their armies and climbed the incline to the Vault. Shovaroth's head appeared over the ridge, as he wouldn't fit in the expanse. Of course the door was sealed closed. But what surprised him the most is that the Vex disabled the three pads that activated the Spire. Well, there were other ways of getting in to places. He looked up at Shovaroth. "Tear it open." They all backed up as Shovaroth slithered over the ridge a bit to get a claw ready. With one strike, he clamped onto the door and ripped it out of the stone wall. "Return to the Valley of Shadows, Shovaroth. You are done here." With that, the Ahamkara took to the skies, at the same time, created winds that ripped some of the trees from the ground underneath him, and flew back to the Valley. The Hive armies were being picked up by Tomb Ships down below. As for he and the Blades, they proceeded inside the Vault of Glass.
