Warlocks aren't defined by their specialty; it's just a man that practices magic. & a witch is a woman that practices magic. A wizard is just a person that does it. Basically: wizard=magic person. Warlock= magic man. Witch=magic woman

  • You are correct on the male portion but the distinction is clear that while all warlocks are wizards not all wizards are warlocks. Warlocks practice dark magic towards evil purpose. Witch craft is also synonymous with evil and dark magic but is blurred in the harry potter universe. My reference comes from oxford dictionary.

  • I never said all wizards are warlocks. I said that people can call the wizards witches & still be correct, & that female warlocks is an oxymoron.
