Three of coins it's the only thing worth buying from xur honestly. If you think about it. It cost 13 coins for a 280 armor piece and 20 to get a weapon. So you can use up to ten 3 of coins (which is 14 coins) and have a chance of getting something @ 310 or 290 which is better than getting 280.
