I have had several family members who were alcoholics and when they got sober they ended up killing themselves. That is something that messes with your psyche and affects you profoundly. It isn't a matter of the youth of today being weak or unable to handle it. It has more to do with the proliferation of hatred that is spread by people through the internet. You may say that you could handle it perfectly and that it wouldn't affect you; but I guarantee that you don't know how "easy" it would be to handle until it actually happens to you. And it isn't as simple as saying "don't let it bother you" that's like lighting someone on fire and saying "just don't let the fire burn you." I agree with you to an extent that it has a lot to do with the victim's ability to rise above it but we have also reached a point where people that bully others are just looked at as a nuisance who cannot actually cause any damage to a person - and that is just not the case.
