So during the lone wolf mission in Halo: Reach, who are the dead Spartans we see?

There were massive Spartan casualties on Reach.

Well duh I meant like Spartan 2s or 3s.

Most likely Spartan IIs I would wager. As Noble Team are the only S-IIIs with MJOLNIR armor. The rest wore SPI. Then again Reach is a mega cluster-blam!- of lore breaking content so they could be S-IIIs. Or even S-IVs. You just never can tell with Reach.
