The carcinogens within cannabis smoke have been shown to actually have an anti-carcinogenic effect, in low to moderate quantities, though if smoke in general bugs you, there are other forms of consumption, including vaporizing (which produces little to no actual combustion), and edibles (the most consistently medically-approved method).
