A reptilian creature scuttled along the edge of the jungles of the Ishtar Sink. It scrambled down a steep cliff, and up to the reddish waters at the shoreline. As the water became deeper and further out, it became a citrus orange, before becoming red once again when it neared the shoreline of a nearby island. 50 feet up, a hulking figure stood on a platform, Eliksni in nature, surveying his territory. A Fallen Archon approached him, and bowed. "My Kell, our scouts have found a specimen that meets your specifications." "You are certain of this?" "Yes, my Kell. It shows signs of individuality. Consciousness." "Send a team to exterminate it. Bring its corpse to me." "Of course, my Kell." The Archon rose, and entered the sprawling cave system.

The Taken Hunter prowled the Ishtar Sink, sporadically jumping between dimensions for milliseconds at a time. He was searching for a prey he could not kill. He was searching for Dredgen Yor. However, the Hunter's mind was clouded by his lust for revenge, and did not notice the Fallen stalking party. A Vandal looked through the scope of its Wire Rifle, ready to take the shot. But before he could kill his target, the Baron leading the party stopped him. "It is him."

Kliniss strutted down a corridor within his lair. Before him, a Dreg stared into a Taken membrane, mesmerized by the dimension he saw within. As the Kell passed, he pushed the Dreg into the portal, and it shut with an explosive noise. "Have a closer look." A few minutes later, an Archon approached. "My Kell, the stalking party has sent back their report." "Is the target dead?" "Um, er, no." The Kell stopped, and turned. "Were my orders not to kill the Taken entity?" "My Kell-" " Are you questioning my orders?" "My Kell, the Taken entity. It's him." The Kell went silent for a while. "Contact the team. I want La'haar Malphur alive."

One of the House of Thieves' Grey Shadow operatives was watching the House of Night from the safety of the rafters above. His advanced cloaking tech kept him unnoticed as he started recording everything he could find.
-
Kliniss entered a dark room. In the middle of the room, a Taken Thrall was in chains, restrained by a pair of Dregs. The Kell plunged his hand into the Thrall, and it started to screech. He removed a blue and black orb, and the screeching stopped. He then grabbed one of the Dregs, and plunged the orb into it. The Dreg howled, and grabbed at its peer. Soon, the both of them disappeared into Oryx's Taken realm. They left behind a Membrane, and through it spewed all which was left. The Kell kicked a crate across the room, and stormed out, a pile of Blighted Ether behind him.
-
The Grey Shadow watched with intrigue. He dropped silently from his vantage point and drew a small knife. Using the knife, he collected a few samples of the taken membrane for later study. Then he heard something behind him.
-
The Taken Membranes are those portal thingys.
A Baron and two Vandals stood behind the spy. They had been assigned to clean up the mess made by the experiments Kliniss had been conducting. The Baron merely cocked his head at the Thief, before raising his Shock Rifle.
-
The shadow growled before reaching into his bandolier and throwing something at the ground. The object burst into a cloud of smoke and the Thief used the distraction to make his escape. He acrobatically climbed along the walls and swung from the rafters.
-
The Baron roared. "Tell the King! Tell the King! The Stealers have come to take all that is ours! To arms!" The Vandals roared in agreement. "To Arms!"
-
The thief leaped off of the edge of one of the landing platforms and went into a free fall. As he fell, he reached out and grabbed onto one of the deployment hooks on the bottom of a skiff and clambered inside.
-
The Baron who had encounters the spy was brought before Kliniss. He kneeled before his Kell, who spoke down to him. "Why was the spy of the Stealers not killed?" "My Lord, he used a, uh, device to disappear like one of the Great Machine's playthings." "You failed to kill him. And now he will report our activity to the King of the Stealers. I cannot allow this." "My Lord, I beg of you." "Begging is for cowards. Are you a coward?" "No, my Lord." "Then you will not beg." The Kell docked the Baron, and the Baron whimpered. "Throw him into the Burning Pit." A pair of Vandals dragged the now demoted Baron, who howled in pain and agony.

Edited by Batman: 10/20/2015 2:55:11 AMAx was summoned to the Vanguard table. He hoped it wasn't about him putting weapons on his sparrow, but when he arrived, he saw more of a serious look about them rather than a scolding look. "What's going on ladies and gentlemen? What can I do for you?" Ikora spoke up. "We've received word that Malphur's alive. We need to get to him first before the Fallen do. We'll brief you on the rest when you're in orbit." As Ax departed, Cayde spoke up. "He's a dangerous man, guardian. Good luck." Ax called his ghost and headed to the coordinates given to him by the vanguard. He called his dog, and let him sit in the passenger seat of his ship. "You ready for a challenge bud?" Ax knew he certainly was.

Stellar was in Campus-9, searching two rumors. One: that a new Cabal Legion had appeared, and two: there was a Taken Hunter in the area.
