Buddy of mine plays league of legends.
He told me whenever there is a broken perk that is being exploited, they just disable it until they have a fix. I have no idea why this isn't done here as well.

Because its not fair to the hunters who dont use the glitch. I use quiver in pvp, but i will not touch it now until the glitch is fixed. I dont want false reports and hate mail.
-
Disable the helmet then.

I agree to this.
-
You agree with this? Would that not be punishing to those who use the helmet?!?!?! That is the exact argument you just made!
-
The problem is the helm not the perk. If you try it without the helm it does not work. Therefor disable the problem.
-
Would you rather have a game breaking glitch for a week or not being about to use a perk for a week? This is a poor argument. In the end both are only temporary, but the first effects the game much more.
-
Yes but is it my fault the glitch exsists? No. Therefor bungie cant punish me. Thats why they made the decision they did. Also does it really hurt you? You know it exsists so take a week off crucible if your K/D is that important. Its a product, thats like saying for a recall they should only refund people who got hurt by it.
-
You're a pathetic and terribly bad player for doing that shit. No excuses you're pathetic
-
Reported for disrespect. I simply did research on youtube. You need to learn to let peoplr have an opinion as well as offer a better way to solve the problem. Im sorry that some retarded hunters have shot multiple arrows in your rectum, but i was simply pointing out that quiver is not the problem. Its quiver with the graviton forfeit.
-
Can everyone be trusted when it comes to 4-4 who's to say you wont cheat? Your making a silly argument it's not fair that the one perk will hold back trials for everyone else so it's simply logical to disable it.
-
Edited by Fridén: 10/16/2015 6:30:50 PMExactly! Yes! It affects the community as a whole if it stays. Plus.... ITS ONLY TEMPORARY. Edit: He agreed to disabling the helmet because he doesn't use that..... REALLY!?!?!?
-
Which helm is it?
-
I don't know the name, but it's the one that gives you shadestep for free. That has to be equipped for the exploit to work for some reason.

Edited by your f(r)iend: 10/16/2015 7:41:44 PMAh graviton forfeit meh I main a titan lol
-
Edited by Fridén: 10/16/2015 6:12:41 PMIt has nothing to do with my K/D, or my own personal performance, or even the matches I win. (I never made any comment to the contrary, I am confused on how you drew up this conclusion.) It is about once best for the community as a whole. It is punishing to more people if the perk stays than it is to just remove it temporarily. Destiny cannot be competitive as long as the glitch remains, and that is a problem. Shadow shot is an amazing super, even without quiver (and you cannot deny that.) "Its a product, thats like saying for a recall they should only refund people who got hurt by it." I am not sure what you mean by this. Recalls occur when they recognize a problem. It is very reasonable to assume that not everyone was effected, but they attempt to recall them anyway just to be safe. That is what would happen if quiver was temporarily disabled. I should also note, night stalker is without a doubt my new favorite subclass.
-
Here is the problem with your point of view, its an opinion. And it makes sence if you put the recall as the perk. They dont recall all boxes of mac and cheese. Only those affected. Therefor it would make more sence to prevent entering crucible with graviton forfiet than remove the perk. Removing a perk is unfair to a subclass.
-
In theory I agree with you. Prevent those who have used it from entering the crucible again is a much better option. But here is the problem in your argument, its not practical, nor is it possible. When the report button is hit, the person is not immediately banned. Proper investigation is done first as there are those who abuse the report feature. Again, I love the nightstalker class and would be affected if they removed it as well. But I would much rather have that, then have someone cheat there way to victor in crucible matches. I guess I just can't believe you would rather have the opposite, especially since it is temporary.

Edited by rook of frogton: 10/16/2015 6:30:20 PMLike i said rather then ruin the cruible side of the class id rather not be able to wear that helm then have to switch back to gunsliger to play pvp.

Edited by Fridén: 10/16/2015 6:35:26 PMThere are other options besides disabling the perk. Disabling the helmet would work too. But YOU would rather have that. That is a selfish argument and point of view. I could care less as long as the exploit is removed. Do whatever it takes. My final point is, trials is postponed because of this. The whole community has now been affected. If they simply disabled (something I don't care what, helmet, quiver, whatever) trials could continue as normal. This would be much faster then them going through lines of code trying to figure out what little bug needs to get worked out. Regardless man, I wish you good luck in trials.
-
I was stating there is a less punishing option then removing a perk from a subclass. Since you cant see that im done talking to a selfish prick.
-
Edited by Fridén: 10/16/2015 7:00:24 PMBy disabled the helmet you would effect those who use it. You are effected by the quiver disabling and not the helmet, that is why you would rather the helmet disabled. It is less punishing to YOU. How you cannot see that is beyond me. If you would rather have trials postponed (which effects the whole community) then not use a perk for a week, that makes YOU selfish. Nothing I have stated here is selfish. I would be affect by the quiver perk removal as well, I would not however, be affected by the helmet disablement as I do not even own it. You obviously have no clue and cannot see past your own problems.

that's because this isnt league of legends

I swear to god half of the people on these forums have no brain...

Edited by Fridén: 10/16/2015 5:59:54 PMOkay.... and? It is good practice regardless of the game it's from.
