I think their options were
1) Let trials go on and piss off everybody as their flawless trial run ends with a squad of 3 hunters abusing the hell out of the bug.
2) Try to come up with a quick code fix and do very limited testing and push it out to everybody and hope you don't bust anything else.
3) Fix the bug and do proper testing and delay trials for maybe another week.
The chose option #3 and it seems like the safest bet.

Its not a childish solution. It puts pressure on bungie to rectify the situation. Like when a disease breaks out amongst livestock. You cant sell it or butcher it. You can only cull it or cure it.

Oh. Your comparing racism to to in game exploitation. ones causes loss of enjoyment by many. The other causes loss of life. Over simplification or not, that was executed in entirely bad taste, the fact that you used "black man" in your example is a product of your own latent racism and poor adjustment to real social problems and hierarchies, probably best explained by you spending too much time in virtual worlds and not the real one. "Black man" is not offensive, it's a fact. You are looking for a racial term to be offended by which is absolutely ridiculous. If I wanted to be racist, I have a lot more colorful language for that.

Also, if I am going to compare racism to the issue, then I do have to include a race. I hope you realize that the whole point of my post was to say that blanket banning is a bad idea because not all hunters are the same (thus the racism reference).

Conveniently pulled stats to serve your purpose. Lets not forget the US police forces/sherriffs departments have proven track records of discrimination. Do a quick check. Caucasians own the scoreboard on serial killers. Why? Because their often not the first race scrutinized. Leaving them free to re-offend.
