This statement is factually innacurate, at least partially. That being said, marijuana and it's derivatives have been effective in pain reduction and increasing appetite in people undergoing treatments for cancer, and there is a large body of evidence that indicates relieving pain increases the success rate of treatment and reduces recovery time.
