Would you rather they sell things that ARE useful and then you end up being able to buy in game short cuts? To be honest this is the best way micro-transactions could have been added. Also that's their choice their enjoying themselves and don't mind spending less than what a lunch would cost to get some fun non game-play effecting stuff. I don't really see the issue.
