I've been a day 1 hunter and have just recently made a warlock for the very 1st time. Does anyone have tips for armor, builds, playstyles and which sub class they prefer? I used spark if light so I don't have any sub classes leveled up yet.
Edit- I would've made this a topic in itself but the classes forum section is usually vile and is very rarely helpful.

Warlocks are a class that is overpowered in PvE but pretty balanced in PvP. (No one is gonna hate you for being helpful in PvE so as a recommendation by a day one warlock, enjoy it). :D

I main a warlock on pvp. You really cant beat the firebolt grenades with viking funeral perk. Ive had some good games on ib using it. Claws of ahmankara are a good piece to aquire 2 scorch shields with lingering burn really helps

I got a 290 claws from an exotic engram while playing with my hunter. I'm glad I kept it in the vault and didn't shard it

I play all three classes and on my warlock sunsinger is diff the most useful. It will be a lifesaver in strikes and raids. For PvP just try them all and see which you enjoy playing more.

I appreciate it. I've only played 1 crucible match with the warlock so far. I'm still getting used to the warlock jump.
