I have seen apparent similarities between Destiny and Star Wars in general. For example: The collapse is the Sith empire destroying the Jedi order. The Guardians are like Jedi fighting the Sith. The speaker is like Yoda himself, since he is sort of like the head teacher of the force. Also, with TTK's recent release, like in Return of the Jedi, the Sith (dark side of the force) close in, but the Jedi (light side of the force) fight back and win, which is like the Jedi returning. The different factions or perhaps the classes of guardians are like the different classes of Jedi (Guardian, Sentinel and Consular). If you do not believe in Luke Skywalker, the force, or that Star Wars describes real events in a galaxy far far away, please give yourself a pat on the back for being smarter than Exotic Antelope and not believing in fictional stories. But believe what you want, if you do believe in Star Wars then cudos for at least believing in a story that is much less morally bankrupt than the one in the bible.
