The original raid gear and the original ib gear drop at the same light level. So people nack then would say you didn't earn level 30 if you had ib gear. He makeing a joke.

Original iron banner gear was lvl29 the last one iron banner before dark below dropped lvl 30 iron banner gear that was useful for a couple weeks.
