Guns arent dangerous. They are pieces of metal or plastic that are inanimate unless operated by a user. Just like cars or a knife.

I understand where you're coming from, but I respectfully yet fundamentally disagree with the outlook. An acknowledgment of a gun's inherent operating danger would prevent a lot of accidents. And yes, a gun sitting on a porch alone hurts no one. But the second a hand is on it, it has the capacity for danger. Rule 1: never aim it at anything you arent willing to destroy.
