Easier to get a murder machine (a gun), than to get a home for your family. MURICA! The rest of the world will continue to watch you in amazement.

  • I'm not arguing based on emotion. The FACTS are that there have been over 40 mass shooting on school/college campuses in the U.S this year alone. You really think doing something about gun laws isn't going to help?

  • If you think banning guns will stop criminals from using them then you are a -blam!-ing retard. Guns are not the problem the "person" holding the gun is the problem. Guns aren't living things they can't load themselves point themselves or pull their triggers by themselves. The "person" chooses to load the gun he chooses to point the gun and he chooses to fire the gun and he also chooses to kill. Banning guns won't solve a damn thing. You think banning guns will stop the shootings. No they will increase tenfold becuase criminals don't give a shit about laws hence their crimnals.

Under this reasoning, rocket launchers and nuclear weapons shouldn't be illegal, because "they aren't living things, they can't load themselves, point themselves, or pull their triggers by themselves." Do I believe banning all guns is the answer? No. But there are certain things that are inherently dangerous and that is why we have laws to regulate them.

My logic is right and completely vaild. Just to humor you Put a gun, rocket launcher and a nuclear bomb down and leave them alone and watch. Not a damn thing is gonna happen till someone walks over and loads them/ arms it. Do i think rocket launcher and bombs should be legal...of course not those are military grade weapons so using them as a comparison is just stupid in itself and pure ignorance. There are already regulations in place in order to buy a gun legally you have to under go a 3 day backround check at the very least some states takes a week. You need to prove you are a state resident of the state you are buying it you have to take a gun saftey/handling. Depending on what your buying you have to be 18 for shotguns and rifles 21 for handguns. I don't what you people think but gun don't just fly off the shelves and into people's hands if they do then they are being bought illegally. Even at gun shows during private sells the person has to prove that he is legally allowed to own a gun by showing that he has a concealed weapons license or showing that he has had proper weapons training.

  • I agree with ya buddy but there are states where you can legally purchase a hand gun and take it home 15 min later with instant background check Example: GA, MS, ect. Also, me being a resident of MS, I can legally buy a long gun in other states. Depending on state laws of course.
So we agree that military grade weapons should not be legal? An AR15 is a military grade weapon. Have you seen what one can do to a body? Because I have. As I said in my post, I am not advocating for banning all guns. But as you said, military grade weaponry does not belong in the hands of civilians. Registering guns is not unreasonable, we register our cars. And expecting everyone to have a background check before they purchase a firearm, private or commercial sale, is perfectly reasonable.

  • AR-15S are not military grade weapons they are civilian versions of military grade weapons called M-4A1s i know it's hard for you left minded folk but try to get you facts straight. However thank you for finally showing how truly ignorant you are. First you try rebut by argument with a outrageous comparison with rocket launchers and nuclear bombs then completely ingore that part and now you go straight after a very specific weapon that the media has chosen to completely warp. An AR-15 in the hands of a wrong person is just as dangerous .22 cal pistol. By the way there's 2 key words that sentence but I doubt you will see it with how narrow sighted you are in regards to guns. You're right you can buy a gun at a gun show with out a backround check IF it's through a private sell. Not everyone at gun shows are private dealers only about 5% to 10% are the rest are authorized gun dealers and they do background checks oneveryone. During a private sell however the person buying and the person selling have to be a resident of that state that's not a big rule but it limits of someone from a state with (stricter gun laws in terms of buying guns) from buying a gun. The person buying the gun has to show a Concealed weapons permit that proves to the seller that he's already gone through a backround check and doesn't need another. It's not a perfect system and could be improved but as a proud gun owner and an avid seller this procedure happens everytime. Anyway I'm fairly certain your political standings are somewhere out in left field and I know no amount of facts and evidence no matter how much is literally spoon fed down your throat you will still disagree and form yet another stupid and completely outrageous analogy comparison to how (guns) are the issue so I hope you enjoyed the read but I'm muting you have a great day with that limited Brain of yours.
An AR-15 in the hands of a wrong person is just as dangerous .22 cal pistol.
This is demonstrably false. Can you kill a person with one .22 round to the head? Sure. But an AR-15 will rip a whole in you. If will sever your spine. It will sever your femur, the strongest bone in your body. I know, I've seen the results.
By the way there's 2 key words that sentence but I doubt you will see it with how narrow sighted you are in regards to guns.
You're trying to be clever. I know you're referring to the "wrong hands." As am I.
You're right you can buy a gun at a gun show with out a backround check IF it's through a private sell. Not everyone at gun shows are private dealers only about 5% to 10% are the rest are authorized gun dealers and they do background checks oneveryone.
So you're ok with "only" 5% to 10% of guns potentially going into the wrong hands? I just don't feel the need to place our police in danger. The police believe that AR-15s and similar weapons are military grade. Not me, the police. The police support the limitation of these weapons. Not me, the police. I can think of nothing more right wing then supporting our law enforcement, which is all I am trying to do. http://newsok.com/police-chief-laments-criminals-access-to-military-style-guns/article/3532764 "Citty states that he sees “no practical reason” why a civilian would need an AR-15 or similiar military-style weapon." http://www.nbclosangeles.com/news/local/beck-lapd-ammunition-ban-nra-117261943.html "There is no reason that a peaceful society based on rule of law needs its citizenry armed with 30-round magazines," Police Chief Charlie Beck said at a news conference, adding that the clips transform a gun "into a weapon of mass death rather than a home-protection-type device.'' http://www.highbeam.com/doc/1P2-26787991.html Shouldn't you want to protect our police also?

  • The views and opinions of Worshippers of the cult of the Second Amendment do not represent the view of most Americans. They just have a very good lobby that has brought 50% of our government to cow so they could make a figurative and literal killing in the market.

The gun isn't a murder machine, but the person using it can make it one. Retard.
However most gun owners are responsible and know how to respect and use it properly.
• Wow, like I've never heard that before. RPGs aren't legal (as far as I know). Should they be made legal seen as it's the people, not the weapons that are the problem?

  • For the 2nd amendment to meet its intended purpose, all weapons should be legal to own. The populous was meant to have the power to kill the central government and its associated army, should it take tyranical actions against the citizenry.

  • Well it's not the tyrannical government getting gunned down on a weekly basis on College campuses and movie theatres is it? So obviously something in your constitution needs to be looked at. Also with regards to the 2nd amendment, why is the part about the well regulated militia always ignored?

Our lack of stomach for adequate punishment for lesser crimes and forcible commitment of the dangerous mentally ill, leaves us more open to violent crime than the lack of gun control. Guns impart no immorality, they are only a force multiplier. Either for good or evil, depending on which side of the muzzle you find yourself. The militia was made up of all able bodied males that chose to respond in a time of crisis. No formal training was needed to report for militia duty.
