• ... Do you own a gun store, or a shooting range, or do you have a really big family that lives in the woods?
Serious question from a Canadian
Yes, I do live In the country...... Just the few guns I have bought, and the ones passed down to me from my father who passed away 10 years ago, and my great uncle who lived nearby, but never had children of his own.......I have 2 older sisters, but was the only boy, so the guns went to me.....actually gave one to each of my 3 nephews a few years ago. (In their 20s & 30s......not little kids) Pretty much just how I grew up.....when I got home from school, I usually grabbed a .22 or a shotgun and stayed in the woods until dark. But yeah.....other than the handguns, pretty much all of them are used for hunting......deer, turkey, squirrel, dove, rabbit, duck & more recently wild boar..... But honestly around here, I have way fewer guns than most......way way fewer than some I know.

 • So it's a collection that's been passed down?

 • Yeah, mostly.. Some I bought. Most were my dads, grandfathers, or great uncles. Hunting guns for the most part by far. All in a wooden gun cabinet made by one of my great uncles......here in my bedroom.....all locked up, except the glock which I can get to pretty quick.

 • And these people who have more guns than you (you who seem to have a personal armoury). Where exactly did they get theirs?

 • Oh I dunno. Hunting & gun culture is a big thing.....so lots of people have guns passed down through their familys. And lots of people are just collectors....lots of guys that are successful or inherited money, or business have pretty large gun collections. Guy I worked for recently had probably 250 or more in his house. Most extreme case I ever saw was once when I went with a friend from college to his father's house......the guy was obviously rich....had about 40 acres around his house fenced in with 14' chain link & his house was literally full of gun cabinets & display cases. I'm talking thousands and thousands of guns......pretty much all collectible stuff tho..not like militia or military type weapons......and there were just guns everywhere. You couldn't sit in a chair without finding a pistol in the cusions.....couldn't open a cabinet or drawer in the house without finding a gun.
