I don't either but not because they don't listen but because they shouldn't do it. You must play all aspects of the game to get everything the game offers. If I don't want to do raids should there be alternate routes to raid weapons and gear? No of course not

Not the raid gear itself but equivalent gear. Iron Banner participants used to complain constantly about not wanting to do the raid in order to get leveled and be competitive. Well, I don't know if you've noticed but, once again, the raid has the highest light leveled gear in it. Light level is going to matter, in a pvp event. Iron Banner is arriving before Trials of Osiris. While hopefully the Trials gear will be raid equivalent, it won't get here in time to level up for a pvp player to compete with the pve players that only play pvp during IB. Video gaming is supposed to be about the experience centered around the player. Bungie has always had a problem with that. Doing things to force their customers to play the way they want us to play has always been their philosophy. It's irritating.

Then what the hell was trials of Osiris supposed to be?
It was the answer to pvp players bitching about having to do pve for the best gear.
Seems like the best response here would be to have quests that are fulfilled in crucible and in pve at the same time. If I want an exotic sword and don't want to play pvp letting me have a pve only option is only a good thing. I won't have fun trying to earn it in the crucible, you won't have fun playing with/against me trying to earn it in the crucible, why force both of us into that situation? Unless you are so bad at pvp that the only enjoyment you derive from it is killing people who are terrible at it, at which point your opinion becomes somewhat invalid.

When do PVP players bitch about having to do PVE? Rarely. The other way around though is an every day thing
-
Because in year two bungie added several quests that require pve players to do pvp. In year one there were more than a few threads about pvp players not enjoying pve mostly in regards to iron banner. That's the entire reason trials of Osiris was released.
-
I'm on this forum every day and there are in no ways near the amount of threads from PVP players complaining about PVE as there is from the other way around. Not even close
-
I never said there were more, I said they existed. And the reason there are so many threads from people who dislike pvp now is because there are far more quests that require pvp. In year one there were quite a few threads about exotic weapon quests that had pvp components and a few threads where people who didn't want to raid were not happy that raiders had the advantage in iron banner, whether you saw those threads or remember seeing those threads is irrelevant.
-
Yeah I'm sure they were never thinking of releasing trials at all if not for a few threads from PVP players

Forgive me, what I meant was that's why they released trials of Osiris as offering better gear than the prison of elders. "Trials of Osiris" was going to be a thing regardless, but the community certainly had a hand in what it turned out to be. You can even watch the archive of the teaser for trials of Osiris where they say specifically that they designed the rewards for ToO to appease the hardcore pvpers who weren't interested in pve raids.
