I dont think the two options would work fairly. The two game types have very different skill sets. Take pve, crank up the difficulty enough and players hang back and go slow. But that's not an option in the crucible. There you need other tools, which is why I think they force it. So people get more of the experience. I understand people hate it. When it goes badly its the worst feeling ever. But I have seen time and practice turn people around who once hated it around. My self included. And when it goes well, it's one of the best feelings in the game. You seem about 6 hours in to pvp. It would be worth pushing on (normal game modes) until you learn the maps backwards, then the quests will get much easier. I love pvp, but hated the first part of the chaperone bounty. One is not the other.

  • I play it plenty enough and still dont enjoy it at all, its pretty broken, from terrible spawns, to terrible drop rates. Not to mention the constant re balance makes it pretty hard to get used to.
