I understand your argument, but what about the other way around? PvP players who don't like PvE have far less content available to them if they only did PvP. They also need to do PvE to get things they want. Basically, if you want everything in the game, you need to play everything in the game. Doesn't that sound fair?

No, the game was hyped/advertised/sold based on being a PvE game. If they want pvp players to have a strong base fine, give rewards for solely pvp and keep pve rewards seperate. Like trials of osiris gear. HoW was such a big let down because of that mistake, ToO gear was wwaaayyyy better than PoE. give PvE ppl top tier GOOD LOOKING gear and great guns rather than half-ass it and put all the best stuff in PvP to get the numbers up.

  • Lol. You didn't notice that the items that require PvP steps are mainly only good IN PVP? Swords are good in both, so they require both, not a big deal.

  • The game was created based around pve. Destiny isn't cod. If you bought Destiny to play nothing but pvp you're wrong. Yeah, it's there for when you get bored and want to play a few matches to switch it up a bit. But the game is about your gaurdian traveling from planet to planet and killing shit. The game is pve first, pvp second imo. We have IB and ToO but there is so much more to the game than running around playing buckshot tag.

  • Guess what. CoD didn't start out as primarily multiplayer, either. People buy games for different reasons. You'll have to just face the facts that some people will only play PvP and some will only play PvE. And, as usual, the people who play all aspects of the game are the ones who get everything. That's the way the cookie crumbles, sweetheart.

  • This is a perfect explanation. I don't like pvp. And the pvp rewards do not force me to play pvp at all. If I occasionally play pvp and get the items I want, sweet. If not no big deal.

  • Game was billed as a pve game with a pvp arena available....if they don't like pve why are they even still here I wonder?

  • Does it matter? Do you think everyone who buys CoD or battlefield plays multiplayer? A large portion actually don't. Yet there are other groups of people who buy them strictly for multiplayer. Plus, you'll also notice that, with the exception of swords, the exotics that require PvP steps are actually best used IN PvP. They're not good PvE weapons. So if you don't like PvP, why would you even want them? The answer is to have them all. So, again, logic only serves right that if you want everything in the game, you'd have to play everything in the game.

  • So...exotic sword best used in pvp lol? I wish there was a way thst pvp players could persue their wants such as the ToM in a specific pvp quest line with little to no pve interaction (finding those fragments sucked) and vice versa.

  • Did you not see the part that says "with the exception of swords"?

  • Where does it say that? I would like a quote from the game please. Or is that just your opinion?

  • You think that this game was suppose to be pvp focused? Not until very recently was stuff really locked behind pvp questing. I don't understand why someone would buy a "mmo pseudo rpg" for the pvp aspect when they are mostly always about the story and pve. No link yes it's my opinion however...buying this game solely for pvp is a paradox.

I actually bought this solely for PvP... Why? Because it's a Bungie game. What they do the most on? PvP. Look at Halo. I'm sure lots of old Bungie fans who played Halo multiplayer mainly would feel the same. There isn't much in terms for PvE in Halo. Nor is there in Destiny. Nothing new. Edit: I was right, another person under agrees on that.

  • Not solely for the Crucible, but it was a very big resin for me to purchase it because I was a heavy player of competitive multilayer on Halo. And look I totally understand why some people do not like comptitive play. But for me PvE get boring very fast, kill mobs here, go over there to kill more mobs, wait kill this boss for like the 100th time. OK that 100th time was an exaggerated example, but I'm sure since I'm a day one player I done my fair share of strikes, but that is so repitive to me. The Crucible is my home and it brings a new challenge every time I enter.

  • Yeah I get you I started a pve only player but it's so repetitive I branched into pvp which is quite fun for me as well.
