Looking at option 5 in OPs post... Seems OP also has problems with not only jumping puzzles but jumping altogether! OP must be surprised that every time he goes to jump, his gun reloads instead lol :D
EDIT: I know OP is on PS3/4 - just thought it was funny to apply to Xbox ;)
