Some random on my last fireteam said the same thing, I didn't think it possible so I had to at least attempt it..
May have done it on my first try, lol. It's actually pretty easy, and that's coming from someone who never uses Blink.

Im not sure if i could get the height for some of those ships

Mine was definitely a fluke, during one of the really high jumps a sword swing got me on top of the ship instead of staying beside it... ahaha
