Now if you found a guardian barely alive would you save it and take it with you or just leave it to be picked clean by whatever creature of the darkness stumbles apon it"? Your ghost relays that message to you and if you heard it you know the transmission came from the hellmouth . Maybe your ghost was picking up the last echo of a guardian.
