Found the formula for exotics in an article : "exotics have a more prohibitive infusion penalty than legendary items. If the item you're infusing is more than four attack or defense points levels lower than the item you're destroying, you only get 70 percent of the difference."

Crap... aaaaand I just watched a video suggesting that the formula doesn't work after 300. Guy put a 310 into a 304 and got 308. Sorry.

Take the difference between the infuser and the infused weapon (example: 300 infuser blue and 280 legendary) and you get 80% of that difference. 300-280= difference of 20. 80% of 20=16. Infused weapon will be 296.
