Hey, man. Listen. Girls like attention. They like being asked out in front of people. They like being proposed to in public. They like being embarrassed, but the kind of embarrassed where it doesn't matter, because you talked to someone you liked.
She probably feels the same way. She said yes the first time, didn't she? What's the chance she won't this time?
I say go for it. When I moved to a new high school, I had no friends. No idea what to expect. My reputation wasn't visible, because no one knew me, but I was the nerd, the loner, the overachiever - and that's how I wanted it. I wanted nothing to do with anyone. I just wanted to get through high school and be the top of every class. That all changed when we were forced to do group assignments. I met some friends and they showed me around. My first friend was named Earl. He was tall and skinny and liked to work with his hands. After a couple weeks, my parents noticed my homework was never getting done, mostly due to depression from leaving all my friends. After that, they insisted I stayed behind in school to get my homework done. So I did, and it was the best thing that has happened in my life.
I saw my friend Earl by one of the rooms in the tech hall while waiting for the homework bus to pick me up. I walked over to him to discover a robot about my height shooting basketballs.
I asked him what it was all about and he said robotics. He introduced me to my now 4 year boyfriend named Connor and my passion for engineering. If I hadn't met him, talked to him, pushed myself to go the extra mile and ask him out... I wouldn't be as happy as I am today. I wish you all the best. You don't need to worry about the answer, either. I'm sure it'll be a yes. 😊❤
