"I think they are back." He turns away and lowers his head
-
"Okay, and what's that got to do with you."
-
"That's right, I didn't tell you the full story." He sighs and rubs the back of his head.
-
She crosses her arms and puts her weight on one leg. "Etana."
-
He walks over to a couch in the room and sits down. "Yeah?"
-
"Tell me the full story."
-
He sighs "Take a seat, this'll take a while."
-
She sits down on the couch and lays down, putting her legs over his lap.
-
"Okay, let's start from the beginning. You remember how I joined the wolves after I thought my friends died?"
-
She nods
-
"I joined because thieving was the life I lived when I was younger, I didn't know better. So I joined them."
-
She rolls her hand in a a gesture as in, "Move on."
-
"I did move on, thankfully. I left that lifestyle. You also know the syndicate too?"
-
"I've heard of them."
-
"You know what they are about?"
-
She shrugs. "Crime, murder, assassination, extortion, espionage, etc etc."
-
He nods "Yeah, supposably they are the best..... They aren't though."
-
"Sounds like someone I know."
-
"The wolves are. Their method of system is base on a deck of cards, 52 is the max number of people they have. They only need 52 because of how they work. But now they only have 51."
-
"Were you number 52?"
-
"Yup, I was the we of spades. The highest ranking wolf."
-
"Okay...."
-
"I started from the bottom and worked my way up, it was a first that anyone has made it to the top. I left because they killed for no reason, I didn't like that. So I left them and tried to get rid of the wolves."
-
"And now they wanna make a house call?"
-
"Yeah, they are after me."
