First of all I think oryx was always a male. They were referred to as sisters but also never referred to as princesses while on fundament. I know for a fact they were called princes at one point. Second, their "10 year" life cycle is NOT and SHOULD NOT be thought of as earth years, for all we know those 10 years could have been 100 but I digress. Third, their voyage to the worms took them almost all their lifetime so it's very unclear how much time they actually spent looking for power. It's awesome read though.

Example from the text from the first card: "MOON WAVES. My sister Aurash is afraid of moon waves. When she gets back from her expedition to the Tungsten Monoliths, I will ask her why." Female pronouns, and "sisters." I don't know why the word "princess" is needed to prove that Aurash (who later became Oryx) is female.

That's why I'm saying it's not obvious. They either gender Switch or something. Cuz at some point they're called princes... Lol

Just checked, and you're right, they all get called princes, but it seems to be a generic term for all genders considering we know that the sisters are female.

I know right! Very confusing but kool nonetheless. I'm guessing they were just genderless all the time until they decided to chose and it's by language that they're called sisters and princes lol I know one of the sister definitely wanted to be female and bear children lol

Yea aurash was the only one who had a gender switch when they met the worms. Its even stated in the grimoire
