So many MMOs (whether you count Destiny as one or not) has vanity micro-transactions and it doesn't hurt the game at all.
WoW, Hearthstone (I think?), FFXIV, even (although not an MMO) Metal Gear Solid 5 has M-Ts.
Get a grip and get over it.
