You paid for the game and all its current DLC's. They are now adding new cosmetic content. These do not change the game what so ever. You have not paid for these. No where in the description of Destiny or its expansions did it say upon purchasing this product, you will also get every little thing Bungie adds in.

Your delusional if you would rather buy emotes than unlock them with in game content. Stop supporting EVERYTHING Bungie does. Introducing micro transactions is not a step in the right direction.

I would love to have the emotes free. But there is no place saying we deserve them for free. And I would rather have it be an optional buying of cosmetic items and free dlcs than having to buy all the dlcs. If I want I can get all the DLCs fie year 2 for nothing or I can spend the same amount I did last year and get the DLCs and emotes. Seems fair on either side. Bungie does still need to make money

What are you talking about there is no place saying we deserve to get them free? Im saying getting them for free would be nice and micro transactions are not a step in the right direction. There is a place for them in Free to play games but not expensive ones like destiny.

Why are they focusing on making cosmetic items instead of improving game play? Why are the new items not included in the cost of the DLCs. I am sure the emotes were already built into each DLC, but corporate greed withheld the items to charge for later. How is cutting content to charge for later a good idea or shifting focus on cosmetic items helping the game play?

You could bother to learn that the art team that makes skins/shaders/and various other things don't actually work on what makes the game tick. In almost every AAA title that team is separate and if they have nothing else to do then they sometimes make extra stuff. The stuff is then offered to the public to buy if they want. You don't have to buy it. You don't even need it. They're even giving out free silver. This is essentially an MMO that has removed it's subscription fee. They still have to have ways to pay for the constant server expenses and the expenses of the company. If the cosmetics are successful in revenue generation then you will see what a lot of other MMOs have done and it will go Free-To-Play. Possibly it could go the route of FFXIV and put out quality content for every update with the extra funds. If this was like Battlefield where you can actually unlock useable equipment/guns with money then I'd have my torch and pitchfork as well. This, however, is not a bad thing. It will not impact any gameplay. It will not impact how you experience the game, except maybe how mad jelly you'll be of our sweet dance moves. Tl;dr Pay to win is bad. This is not pay to win.

This is not P2W....Yet. Many good games eventually start selling items that are not just cosmetic, that affect gameplay. But this is usually the first step.

They are changing the structure of the game. It's a game I intend to keep playing. Therefore it's a problem.

Changing it for the better. They are adding in cosmetics for purchase. DLC's will most likely be free for year 2 whether you buy the new cosmetic items or not. How is this bad?

No future content will be free. Why would a company turn down money. Especially a greedy company that charges for cosmetic items.

The whole point of the cosmetic items is to generate revenue so they can pump out more dlc content that is free. How is that hard to understand? It is bettering the futureof destiny. How come you deem it fit to complain about destiny but not warframe? You may not play warframe but in that game you can buy anything with real money, that isnthappening to destiny so why complain?
