Reason why they won't let u take all your year 1 weapons is because with tht re-roll system a lot of weapons tht were supposed to be "middle of the pack" became really good because ppl kept re-rolling for the perfect perks i.e. Shotguns. Tht made the game really unbalanced in a lot of ways because certain guns become outrageously broken with certain perks combos. So Bungie could either make all year 1 weapons obsolete and push out new weapons with old ones still dropping with non broken perk combinations, or change all the broken perks combinations on your guns (highly unlikely). I prefer them to get rid of the old broken guns because crucible has become a better, more diversified place. Now some of you may be upset by this because you don't want to get rid of your gear because it marks you as a year 1 player. Thts cool but a lot of ppl just want to use their "cheese" weapons in crucible *cough* felwinters *cough* matador *cough*. Those ppl are the reason I don't care if year 1 weapons go obsolete

 •
I prefer them to get rid of the old broken guns because crucible has become a better, more diversified place.
Every single Year 1 weapon is STILL just as effective in Crucible as it was before, dude. Any diversity you feel has almost nothing to do with Bungie capping LIGHT LEVELS (hint- doesn't effect Crucible) on gear, bro. :P Players have switched up their gear with every DLC, simply because it's new, and any balancing you feel is either a continuation of the same trend, or simply the fact the Bungie already nerfed the most egregiously overpowered weapons.
[...] or change all the broken perks combinations on your guns (highly unlikely)
Again, just in case you didn't notice- they did nerf Year 1 perks (Rangefinder and Shot package included, btw, to address your point about "cheese" weapons). Your whole point is an invalid support for leaving Year 1 locked at current levels, because all the reasons you provide have already been adressed. Recap- None of the Crucible balancing you seem to feel is at all related to capping Light Levels on Year 1 gear. Weapons have been re-balanced, and perks have been retooled, plain and simple. Leaving Year 1 behind is purely a cash grab, and only serves to piss on veteran players.

 • Idk why it's so hard to understand tht bungie isn't bringing back year 1 weapons aka re-rolled weapons because they are severely unbalanced and won't be back brought over to year 2 they are trying to "please"the veterans by letting u use em in the crucible (I want them to be completely gone because too much cheese). MOVE ON.

 • Which specific weapons are you talking about, though? Give me examples, because the only "OP" weapons you seem to be taking into account are the shotguns, which are being dealt with, already. Thorn? Already nerfed. Last Word? Already nerfed. Hancannons in general? Already nerfed. High-impact Pulse Rifles? Already nerfed. Shotguns? Already nerfed, now being nerfed again. From where I'm sitting, you don't have any basis for your arguments, anymore.

 • I didn't delete anything, bro. Learn how to view the forums. And, I'm aware of the concept of time. I'm asking if you still stand behind your previous argument, now that shotguns are being taken care of. Yes, or no?

 • Btw the only high impact pulse rifle tht got dealt with was hopscotch, sparechange and messenger are still out there and I see em in pvp on a daily. But bungie is going in the right direction. I just cringe every time I see someone using the year 1 cheese weapons in pvp which seem to be dying out, thanks to bungie. I think once bungie sorts out the whole year 1/ year 2 weapon balance they should let year 1 weapons be ascended to year 2 values
