Should there be an exotic version of the Khvostov?

This was our first weapon in Destiny, and probably one of the most unique looking guns for it's time. Wouldn't it be awesome if we got an exotic version of this gun so that we can still use this amazing weapon! I think a lot of people will want this Bungie, so please make this a thing!
Edit: Yes, I know that the version I am showing is not the best way to make the exotic (the stats that is), it's just an example image I found on google that I thought had a cool aesthetic look to it.
Edit: Of the 400 replies in this thread, most of them are in favor of making the Khvostov have an exotic counterpart. I think Bungie needs to start on it now so that we may have it by the next DLC!
(Also Bungie, I would forgive you with microtransactions if you made all future DLC free, and added the Khvostov exotic.)

Hidden Perk: Armor Piercing Rounds Obtained through a quest; "God Slayer" - Quest unlocks on finishing all exotic quests throughout all three characters (ToM 3x, all exclusive gunsmith exotics, exotic swords, etc) - Find the weapon lost in the wilderness (can be acquired through a Nightfall tier mission with all three burns) - Acquire all calcified fragments to learn the ways of the Hive. - Finish the Skyburners Missions across all three characters to learn the Cabal's strategies and tactics. - Fight through the Trials of Osiris to meet Osiris himself, and learn the Vex's time-space capabilities. - Talk to Zavala, Ikora Rey, and Cayde-6 about the Fallen. - Talk to Eris about the Taken. - Last step of the quest - Kill Atheon, Crota, Skolas, and Oryx without anyone in your fireteam dying throughout the whole raid.
