"Why?"
The warlock is looking directly at you. You can feel his presence within the dead-looking, faceless wired helmet.
"Take a look around. This whole system is dead, saturated with darkness. Only one city against planets? The idea is laughable."
Only now do you realize his features look faded and blurry round the edges.
"The vanguard are fools, blinded by their politics and hope. They cannot see what must be done."
He moves closer. The inbuilt Geiger counter in your helmet goes crazy.
"A new world must be created. A new start is needed. Sacrifices must be made. For the greater good."
He stops.
"For the future of us all."

"Do you want to know something?" He pauses. "I have been around for a few hundred years. I'm one of the first Exo. I have no resets, and I can't be reset, which is why 0 comes after my name. But in all these years, I have seen people like you. I saw and killed Ahamkaras. I assisted in the construction of the walls. But out of everything, not one has the City ever truly been threatened. It's not one city against planets, It's an army of the strongest species in the galaxy versus 4 species that don't even begin to compare, even when together."
-
"Oh, but they do compare, my exo friend." You can hear the amusement creeping into his voice. "Firstly, the fallen. Bloody, ruthless pirates. Amazing engineers. The only ones brave enough to attack the city: and they would've succeeded if the Queen hadn't stopped the wolves from joining. "Secondly, the vex. They are infinite. Seriously, you don't need me to explain how dangerous they are, do you?" He pauses, as if remembering something from long ago. "They existed long before humanity... only their own mysterious algorithms stop them from attacking. "Next, the hive. I trust one as ancient as you has gone down their endless tunnels and caves? Maybe in your old age you've forgotten the horrors you must've witnessed down there." The laughter has faded from his voice now. "The cabal... a large amount of evidence now suggests they are but a splinter group of the real army, a mere drop in the ocean of their system-spanning empire. "And last but not least: the taken. I'm sure you've fought them? Then you'll know that they are the worst aspects of all the previous races made flesh, completely bent to a merciless god's will." His voice has turned sorrowful. "There is nothing we can do... let go of your blinding hope. Does not intelligence come with old age? As does responsibilty. "Is this really a world you'd let your children grow up in?"
-
"But you miss something. The Hive revolve around the survival of the thralls. We just need to find the breeding grounds. The fallen. They were like us. We just need to show them that we are allies. The Cabal are too militarized. If we destroy a group, then the rest topple down. The vex are the interesting ones. They seem to worship things they do not understand." His wisps of taken energy become noticeable. "If they don't understand a biomass, how well do you think they'll understand me. A taken light. The solution is not for us to utilize these ancient weapons, but to get the others in a battle so heated, their social structure collapses on itself."
-
"You make things sound so simple... almost like before she..." He catches himself and shakes his head, which looks even more faded and blurry than before. In fact, you realize he is almost transparent. "I'm sorry, my friend, but I made up my mind long ago. Do you think I would get to this point just to quit? "The loss of life will indeed be apalling. But then again, guardians don't really count as alive, do they?" You can feel him looking directly at you through his rusty, wired helmet. "I'm sorry, really, but I made my decision years ago. There's no going back." His voice goes quiet. "I have already started the activation sequence."

Realizing what that meant, Hunter-0 uses a tether on his opponent before rushing to the panel. He begins rapidly typing, and the commands on the screen show how successful he is. He still has a long was to to though. "Rasputin, you ass. Help me out here."
-
"It took me a decade and a half to make Rasputin crack. " The warlock is calmly turning towards you, slowed by the whispering purple energy flowing around him. "Unfortunately, my methods were a bit too... brutal. Rasputin is in no state to do anything without my authorization for a long time. "I have all the codes in my head. I am the only one capable of stopping him. "This time tomorrow we will have a new world." He starts to go blurry and slightly transparent again, and his voice goes low once more. "I know that she would approve..."
-
"You were taking control of all hundred and something. I only need 4" He types a few more lines before increasing speed. "Plus, I've been around longer than the thing"
-
The warlock stops suddenly. "Only four...? What? NO! WHAT ARE YOU DOING! I AM MAKING A NEW WORLD!" The purple tether holding the warlock is starting to fade. "STOP! I WILL CLEANSE THE SYSTEM OF DARKNESS!" A home-made golden age looking handcannon starts to materialise in his hands, it's progress also slowed by the rapidly fading tether. "I WILL PUNISH THE WICKED!" The tether disappears.

Edited by CybrWyteTygr: 10/4/2015 8:22:05 PMHunter sends out his ghost to continue his work. "Not so fast." He pulls out a Häkke vanguard sidearm, and unloads the clip upon the insane warlock quickly.

Edited by Sparrowhawk: 10/4/2015 9:19:04 PMTo the hunter's suprise, the bullets go straight through the warlock, having no effect at all. "It's time you learnt who I am. THEN I WILL PUNISH THE WICKED. "I am vex simulation 074 of Esi . I am ancient and young. I am infinity and zero. I am the end and the beginning. I am the vex. I am human. I am real. I am another dimension. I am the parallel. And I have witnessed enough of this world, where people are slaughtered in millions. "Anyone who stands in the way of the final goal is an enemy. I have stolen this light and ghost to do this. "And now this ends." He fires four rounds into the hunter.
-
Edited by CybrWyteTygr: 10/4/2015 9:51:13 PMThe first bullet hits Hunter, but he teleports, similar to a taken thrall. When you regain your sights on Hunter, you'll see that he has the properties of a taken. "Well. You're -blam!-ed." He splits like a Psion, and then launches the blinding blast. They both draw their swords and slash at Esi. The ghost, working at a faster pace than humanly possible, gets control of the 4 strongest weapons, one for each inner planet, and starts entering codes to fire upon other weapons.
-
The taken energies seem to work against the insane simulation. As the dark swords slice through his body he falls to the floor, screaming. "I WILL KILL THOSE RESPONSIBLE FOR HER MURDER! I WILL PUNISH THE WICKED! I WILL-" He gasps suddenly as he is sliced in two. "I... will make a... new... world..." As he takes his final breath, he fires a shot at the ghost, temporarily disabling it. He then fades completely, leaving you alone in the dark, screen covered room. "For... her..."
-
He waves the duplicate away, and it is absorbed into him. "Ghost scan the place of death. I'll enter the codes." The ghost scans for whatever as Hunter-0 finishes the codes, not destroying every orbital weapon, but plunging it onto the planets.
-
Your ghost scans the area and picks up nothing but trace remains of radiation. Thanks to the taken abilities you absorbed, you destroyed the mad vex abomination. As you fly back to the tower later that day, having secured the orbital weapons, you shudder at the thought of the potential damage that could've been caused, and that that may have been just one of thousands of escaped vex simulations.
that was good huh? You write very well. This was my first time on a role playing thread, and I enjoyed it. Also, I used 'sundaresh'. Sorry, that was meant to be Esi. I edited it where I wrote sundaresh, could you do as well? Thanks.

if your wondering why, sundaresh is a girl according to vex grimoire.

very good. I'll get on that now.
