Hello, fellow guardians! I have noticed that my thread has gone down in popularity and has stayed down due to my inactivity. And I would like to say I'm sorry for not being active! Games have come out that I have been very interested in (FALLOUT FALLOUT FALLOUT FALLOUT), so I've resorted to playing those day and night, forgetting about my wonderful thread, and honestly, Destiny altogether.
While taking time off of Destiny, I've realized that it's no good to play due to Bungie's current obsession with PVP (likely due to Activision). I, for one, despise the introduction of PVP to Destiny. This game should not have been made that way. I feel like Activision ruined it for that reason, among many others, but the gaming experience was an overall amazing one.
I got to know some good friends I have online now and I have come to know a completely new style of game altogether. I am not usually playing games in the likes of Destiny, I'm mostly into solid RPG's and horror. But, besides that, Destiny has been a great experience and I love that I got to converse with you all! I'm so glad to see the community is still thriving, and who knows, maybe I'll be back for the second game, but right now it doesn't look too promising with the first still in motion.

What a kind-hearted thread you've made! Favorite weapon/armour to use? I love running Ruin wings and the exotic arc sword on my Titan. I use the "iron harvest" defender perk which gives heavy weapon kills a chance to create orbs of light. Also, the sword has a perk that also gives a change to generate orbs. Couple these with the ruin wings that keeps the heavy ammo flowing and you've got orbs everywhere! Hooray for synergy!

I was with my fireteam and one member wanted to help us get the smelly chest on the dred (the one with the immune thralls on the ledge). As he was showing us what we needed to do a random guardian started hanging around with us and following us around. We didn't think much of it at the time. I determined I was not in the right head space to try to platform that night but the other member wanted to try it. So the other guy and I stood on the platforms holding them out for our member who was going to try to get to the chest. All of a sudden the random ran by me on my platform and jumped on to the last one and sat down, holding the platform for our member. How cool was that? I messaged him letting him know how awesome he was. In fact I think whenever I need to go AFK in that area I will go to the platform and just sit down in case anyone wants a hand on that chest while I am away.

(Loads up striker class Titan, full intellect build, primary exp buff from gunsmith, consumes motes of light, starts Crota raid for the thrills...) Oh. My. Dear. Sweet. God! And isnt anyone else stoked about a universal currency? That you can get from dimantling useless equipment?! Im glad this post came up. Too much salt everywhere else. TTK is amazing, bungie you have satisfied another customer. Sure they have some quirks to work out but why so much toxicity? If you can do a better job, go out and make a better game. Show em how its done But is it bad I really want some spartan armor? Master Chief my eternal mancrush and I would love to drop a Nova Bomb in a 117 suit

1 ReplyJust a little story about some destiny fun times. My friend left in December for the military reserves. We never got to play Crota's End or any of the HoW stuff together. He recently came back in the last month. So, we both got TTK and have been playing that, played some HoW stuff including the first PoE. And then we decided that since neither of us had played Crota's End (I never bothered to because I liked raiding with friends, he had obviously been gone, and my other friend left home a few months after) we would play it this last Thursday for the first time all the way through (I played only the last part of CE hard). But we decided that nobody wanted to play and we wanted to see if we could two man it! And we did…sorta! We made it all the way to Crota pretty easily, the bridge took longer than it should have. And then we were able to get Crota down to very little health multiple times, but were never able to defeat him. It was getting late when we decided to stop, but it was probably one of the more fun things I did in Destiny!
