Sorry you feel that way. I find Fusion rifles to---once again, thanks to Update 2.0----be a highly effective weapon. Especially in the new PvE environment for strikes/stories/CoO where Bungie is always trying to force you to fight in a BOX so you can't stand off and snipe like you did last year. The fusion rifles----especially Telesto----are great for stripping shields off of Tier 2 enemies, and reaching out and hitting powerful enemies at mid-range before they can close to short range where they have the advantage. The Telesto itself can almost reach long range because its cone of fire is so narrow.
