Coming after the Vex dlc, supposedly, could have an association there, but it's hard to think the Dreadnaught will stay empty until Destiny 2. EDIT: Besides, Skolas already tried becoming a God through Vex tech.

Plausible theory, Oryx floats away into space after his death, but his worm (which gave him the god-like powers) is not. Perhaps the Cabal gather powers from it and become a new vessel for the worm god?
