Bungie doesn't owe people who have been here for a decade a place to hang out. Those people aren't loyal to "Bungie", they're loyal to coming here for nostalgic and pseudo-community feelings. If people who don't give a shit about Destiny, but still like this place, want to post here, there are private groups. Honestly, this isn't a family and the fact that there is even a small outcry is laughable. People are acting like their families are moving and they have to go make new real life friends in a new town just because they're going to have to go be new and anonymous somewhere else instead of here. Sure, there will still be assholes, but forcing people to have at least [i]some[/i] connection to Destiny [b]will[/b] limit the amount. I'd say the more that accounts like that are limited, the better. I know there will always be people like Lincoln who go out of their way to spam [i]here[/i] because they feel [i]that[/i] connected, but that's what tools like the ability to mute/report are for. This additional filter will keep shit levels down and I welcome it with wide open arms and a smile on my face.
