Is there any way Taox could be Eris? How else would she have three eyes other than if she was a member of the humanoid krill species that didn't get corrupted into the hive? I always thought it was strange that being trapped on the moon caused her to become part hive and grow two more eyes. What if she had them to begin with? She's evidently a major player in the story with her dialogue both in game and in grimoire with the queen.
So is it possible? Do we have grimoire confirmation that she was human when she went down into the pit? There is clearly a strange psychic connection she has with Oryx.

But wouldn't her fireteam know something about her? Unless she killed her fireteam?

Well her fire team were all part of "The Hidden," right? Or I assume so, since she was part of that organization. Being a sort of mix between secret agents and commandos I'm sure they could be trusted with her secret since they're being trusted with all of the intelligence information from the Tower. Again, the theory has it holes, I just love the idea of her being Taox because of her deep seeded hatred of Oryx and her bizarre psychic connection with him.

Besides she has to put on a facade that she was once human because otherwise she would be outed as Taox amongst the tower and Oryx could use the humans to locate her.

Hmm maybe so. I always assumed that was simple allegory. She took their eyes and fashioned eye sockets to use? Just seems weird.

When Toland, the Shattered is involved, anything is possible. He taught her these tactics to survive amongst the Hive, but not without scars. She is mentally unhinged, suffering from PTSD, and is tuned in to Hive radio 24/7

For sure. It's definitely crack pot. I just figured Taox will show up eventually. And Eris the only one with 3 eyes and not Hive. It's either her or The Stranger.

Taox is quite possibly in the Reef, either locked in the Prison of Elders or working with the Awoken
