The crisp wind on the cosmodrome seemed to cut through even the highest armor, chilling one to the bone yet somehow the snowflakes that fell from above gently floated amongst the debris. All was strangely silent in the shipyard, the fallen stopped chattering and it seems that everyone's gun had been set away, even only for a short time.
A hunter was spotted kneeling on top of Resputin's antenna looking out onto this desolate world she called home. It gave her a knot in her stomach to think of what happened, even the small bit she was told. Humans seemed to be the rarer of the species, and she felt disappointed she didn't have much to offer other than a good eye and a quick shot.
Of course, that's what most guardians do but there was just something strange about looking out onto earth and seeing Fallen and Hive instead of humans. At least the awoken still have their kingdom, and the exos... Well. She pulled out her ghost.
"You're sure you've scanned everything?" She asked with resentment lingering in her voice.
"Yes, Skylar. We've been to this area hundreds of times. The only thing left from the golden age of humans is Resputin, and you know how... Difficult he can be about information."
She scowled, waving her ghost away and looking beyond the boarders, thinking to herself that there's got to be more to it. She read about the amazing things humans have done in their golden age, in books, in journals. But somehow there was nothing left, if there was, it was far away from here.
