Hunters complained that they didn't get damage reduction, and that they can lose their super in animation where they have no control. (Hell I just shot down a Hunter in GG animation yesterday.) The reason was that they had a mobile, multiuse, ranged super - and these drawbacks balance out the benefits. Hell, I ran into a Sunbreaker while Bladedancing. I didn't even get through his shield with the first hit, and he OHK'd me in response. At the moment, I don't see how a Bladedancer can beat a Sunbreaker at all.
