So many people have pointed out the fact that a super that essentially does what Golden Gun does, but with more than twice as many shots, area splash, a massive overshield, and healing like Arc Blade, is OP that it is clearly a valid argument. You have not made a single valid point other than making a broad, generalized ad hominem against anyone who disagrees with you.

  • First off: Travel time. Golden Gun is an instant hit scan; Hammer of Sol has to travel to hit its target. If the Titan is too slow, the Hammers become easy to dodge with the weak tracking and thus, pointless. If the tracking were buffed in exchange for the Titan moving more slowly, people would immediately whine over being cross mapped by hammers. The Titan can throw maybe seven Hammers in total, and needs to be fairly close to make a hit. If 3-4 people group up on said Titan, they should be able to put him down with Shotguns. The Titan has always been an inherent tank. Why people are just now starting to gripe over it is beyond me, but then again this forum has been nothing but cries for nerfs, literally, since Day One.

    Everyone makes this BS argument about travel time. It is crap. That hammer travels plenty fast. You can literally see a Nightstalker starting to activate Shadowshot and throw a hammer and have it hit and kill him before the animation ends. Additionally, Golden Gun requires you to actually HIT your target. In PvP with my titans I can see a group of people far off and just spam a few hammers their way and the massive splash radius will kill them. I have thrown a hammer that utterly missed the person I was aiming at and hit a wall and the splash killed not only the guy I was trying to get but another dude who was off to the side. You don't have to be that close when you can carpet bomb an entire area and still have half your super left. The travel time argument is BS. You want to talk travel time, watch a Bladedancer try to move his entire freaking body to the target just to be shot gunned to death. Lastly, only a freaking idiot sunbreaker would get surrounded with his super active and be shot gunned to death, but he could probably, literally throw his hammer at his own feet and kill everyone in shotgun range.

    So, let's nerf the Sunbreaker to a point where he's utterly useless, just as we have everything else right? Yeah, let's do that because the bad kids who can't handle dying in PvP won't die anymore. It worked with all of the pointless and overcompensating weapon nerfs, didn't it? As for the Shadowshot argument: DODGE. You have Shadestep and a Triple Jump. USE IT.

  • Now you are setting up a ridiculous straw man argument by putting words into the mouths of everyone who has pointed out the imbalance. Nobody is advocating for making it "useless." We all want it to be a viable class, but just not be OP as shit. Stop being a baby. Lastly, shadestep in no way, shape, or form carries you far enough to get you out of the hammer's splash radius and it has a fairly substantial cool down, so if you miraculously survived one hammer, one of THE OTHER SIX old sure as hell get you.
