What is your stance on the Ahamkara connection (if any) to the Worms?
I thought the Ahamkara were supposed to be akin to dragons but I see a lot of people think they are the Worms.

I'm not Tree of Ruin, nor am I nearly knowledgeable in the lore of Destiny as he is, but something important to remember is that one of the Olde English words for dragon is wyrm, which in current day English would be written as worm. I think there are very strong connections between the worms and the Ahamkara, personally.

Interesting point, makes sense.
-
I believe there is a good amount of evidence that the Worms are Ahamkara. It'll take me some time to compile it, if you want
-
I'll keep looking into it for myself, thanks though.
-
I can get all of the info for you if you want me to. I got time
-
If you're looking for something to do, sure I'd appreciate it. :D

Edited by Ruin Tree: 9/28/2015 4:45:26 AMAdditionally, AnonPig has theorized that the Ahamkara are similar in form to Quetzalcoatl, an Aztec God depicted as a feathered serpent, god of knowledge and of Venus. And an ancient name for a dragon was a Wyrm

Me and friend once saw a dragon or something flying in venus like the satellite in moon, but we needed a scoped sniper to see maybe hereafter can help us

Those are confirmed by Bungie to be creatures called batodactyls
-
Those aren't Ahamkara unfortunately. They are called Batadactyls. (Not even a joke.) To compare; the bones that wrap around where you shattered Crota's soul in the story are thought to be an Ahamkara. Yeah... They're big...
-
Oh crud then they are bug, and wow batadactyls hahaha
-
That one might be small too from what a I've read.

From Verse 1:5
1. It was my father’s familiar. I ripped it from him as we fled. It is a dead white thing, segmented, washed up from the deep sea. 2. It’s dead, but it still speaks to me. It says: listen closely, oh vengeance mine...
From Verse 1:9
I am Yul, the Honest Worm. Behold my passage. Behold my vast displacement, my ponderous strength, my great and coiling length, my folded jaws and curled wings. Behold the hiving cities symbiotic with my flesh. I am fecund, Aurash. I am at the beginning and end of lives.
From Verse 2:2
Reality is a fine flesh, oh general ours. Let us feast of it.
From Verse 5:3
THE DRAGONS. Our gods should be ours alone. Their smug freedom is an insult to me. I’d shut them all in cells. Bring them to me!
From Verse 5:4
Now arrives Xivu Arath, at the head of her armada. She fights the Harmony for fifty years with strategies and discipline. But the Harmony turn to dragon-wishes, and their wishful bishops wrestle Xivu in the ascendant plane. Next arrives Savathûn, flanked by her chorus and her celebrants. They trick their way onto Ana-Harmony in disguises, so that they might vivisect these dragons. The Worm our God laughs and laughs.
