The blizzard roared throughout the Cosmodrome. Fallen lurking, stalking at every corner. Hive screams echo throughout the land. It's been months since David has endured the harsh weather conditions. This reminded him of his old life, before becoming a guardian. In that wonderful snowy wonderland his previous life was. Nothing like the cold, barren wasteland the fallen plunder. David heard spider walkers. At least 3 of them. David could've possibly taken all 3 out in normal weather conditions, but the blizzard is too great. He takes refuge in an old building. He goes up to the third and final floor and takes out his Hereafter and blends himself with his surroundings, completely unseen. The storm rages on, fallen machinery echoes around his ears, he starts to wonder if he's going crazy. Maybe. Just maybe. Unable to spot anything along the raging storm, he withdraws his rifle and goes to a corner of the floor away from the windows. His ghost, whom David has dubbed Beachball, appears from thin air to talks sense into him. Specifically to call in for backup. B: David, we're in the middle of a snowstorm, we're outnumbered by fallen, we need backup. D: Hush Beachball, I made it out alive from the Hellmouth. We both know this is a breeze compared to that horrible event. B: Breeze? We're in a snowstorm David! The winds are going at 68 miles an hour! D: Uh, no that won't do. Give it to me in SI units please. B: David stop fooling around! D: Ah ah ah, give it to me in kilometers. B: *sigh*, 109.4 kilometers. D: Attaboy, I rather go back dead than with backup. B: You're being unreasonlable! D: No, I'm being a hunter. Lone gunslinger who brings justice with a swift trigger pull and impeccable aiming. Just like the Wild West. B: David! D: No backup capishe? If you won't help me you might aswell go back inside my satchel and fetch me my cookies. I'm getting hungry. B: Get them yourself! D: Fine then. David reaches inside his bag and pulls out a small bag of cookies. Never once in his life as a guardian he's ever left without a bag of cookies. He takes off his helmet and starts eating his snack. With his mouth full, he jokingly offers his companion a piece. D: Want one buddy? B: Why do you offer me? You know I don't eat. D: I don't know, I'm being nice here. You can just politely decline my offer. B: No, David. I don't want a cookie. (Open.)
