She quirked an eyebrow, giving him a curious look. "What do you see that could possibly be worth dying for?"

"i saw myself, but someone who hasn't made the same mistakes i have. and you have alot of life ahead of you, thats whats worth dying for"
-
She was silent for a moment, looking away and thinking of his words. The girl leaned her head against the frame while looking to him and gave him a soft smile. "I have made many mistakes Leon."She said with a sad sigh.
-
"Not ones nearly as bad as mine, ive slaughtered men in cold blood. i was exiled from the tower...im a bad person. and i wanted to do at least one good thing."
-
"You're not a bad person..."She said, removing herself from her perch and closed a bit of distance between them. "You were...are my light, and we both know light cannot be bad."her voice was light, soothing almost.
-
"you don't understand" he said as he looked at the floor. "thats why im not a guardian anymore"
-
She closed the distance fully, grabbing his hand. "you don't understand."She began, using her other hand to lift his chin up so he'd look to her. "You may have done some wrong in your life, but what you don't realize is you've done a lot of good as well. Killing Atheon..Dredgen, saved countless lives...besides."She said looking away. " 'Guardian' is just an elaborate term."
-
he sat there for a while not saying anything "I...I just...all my life ive been told that im a bad person, and that all i do is hurt people. And they told me that im not of the light and that im just as bad as the darkness." he said as tears started going down his face.
-
The girl felt torn, seeing him break down, tears cascading down his cheeks. She brought both hands to his face, cupping his jaw. "Leon, I have seen nothing but good come from you. You are different from these 'guardians."She began, a little anger laced in her voice as she said the word, but she looked to him."You are hope."
-
He couldn't speak, even if he could he wouldn't know what words to say. but eventually they came to him "you...you gave me purpose again"
-
The girl gave him a soft smile, genuine and pure as she used her thumb to wipe away the last of the stray tears. "I have lost so many throughout my time, and I lost my way, but, you gave me purpose as well."
-
he didnt know what to say, all he could do was sit there and stare at her. she meant everything to him and he didn't know why. but as hard as he tried he couldn't think of any words. so he continued to sit there.
-
"Best to get some rest, I'll keep watch."She said to him, standing up. The sun had entered the final stage of setting, dark colors illuminated by the moon surfacing.
-
"no you sleep, you need it more. i had enough rest while I was dead."
-
She was about to protest, but knew it would be a pointless battle. Besides, she had no energy, the past two days catching up to her as she sat on the cot. "You win."She chuckled, letting out a sigh.
-
"now get some sleep" he said as he pulled out one of his revolvers and started spinning it "it will be morning before you know it."
-
The girl gave him a smile, before laying down and succumbing to the bliss of sleep no later then her head hitting the pillow. Hades materialized from her armor and set himself comfortably next to her head, his orb deactivating in sleep mode.
-
"ghost, watch for intruders" "as you wish" All he could do was stare at her...she gave him purpose, she saved his life, she gave him a reason to live, something to live for. that's all he could think of, his mind not wandering anywhere else. And he didnt know why. he didnt only see himself in her, he saw something more. But he couldn't tell what.
-
She rolled over, facing him with hair spilling across her face. She dreamt of her old timeline, memories of the entirety of their time spent together. Her lips curled into a small, unconscious smile. He had saved her, and she had saved him.
-
when the morning came he was still watching her. And when she woke up he couldn't help but ask one question "why this body...why did you choose this one?"
-
She blinked, swinging her legs over the bed and stretching. "I felt a certain pull to it...I'm not sure."She looked away, cheeks a soft dusty rose. She could feel the strength it had once possessed and what better a vessel for him?
-
"The Thorn, let me see it." he said as he reached out his hand "i have an idea on what to do with it"
-
She gave him a curious look before reaching to its holster and handing it over. "What do you have in mind?"
-
"fixing it, reverting it back to its original form" he said as he turned it over in his hand, inspecting every detail of it.
-
She inched closer, leaning over to examine it, curious. "And how are you going to go about that?"
-
"i have no idea, but do you still have Osiris' journal?" he said as he continued to inspect the weapon.
