The traveler and more "moons" existed in this place, and from what I understand it is because of the traveler the Exo exist as sentient life

Humans did create exos aka robots but the light from the traveler gave them their own "souls"

Humans both created the Exos and their consciousnesses through a subroutine known as Deep Stone Crypt. Some, if not all Exos, were once human

Yes, but they have little to no memories of their past life. Some, like Cayde, have occasional relapses, and some Exos become thanatonauts, purposely killing themselves to gain knowledge

Taox is supposed to be a chick but so is oryx? So maybe lol. Maybe in the world of destiny women are men and vice versa

Oryx was a female and over time became male.
