Taox was Oryx's and his two sister/brothers mother who betrayed and killed their dad because he was under the spell of worms. Taox allowed some other race to sneak up and take him out, the spawn vowed revenge and Taox fled after the Traveler arrived to try and fight them.

 • No. She was their teacher. She thought the king was going crazy because he blathered about the moons
turns out he was right
. She thought none of the sisters could handle the throne and their people would be wiped out. So she turned to the enemy with "grief" and asked them to take out the royal line, and she would rule, basically as puppet.

 • No, the king lost his shit. "Senility has claimed my lord the Osmium King. He is ten, and mad. The study of ancient text consumes him. Today he raves about moons above the storm. Tomorrow he will wander the halls, speaking to his familiar, a dead white worm from the deep sea. He keeps it in glass, and he tends to it, and he neglects the duties of a king."

 • He did, but he was also right. And if his daughter hadn't stolen the worm when Taox tried to kill them, then everything would be different. Or if Taox had just offed the king (or even waited until he died) and gotten rid of the worm, but let the daughters rule, they would've never been forced to flee to the deep and basically become Goa'uld. But then we wouldn't have a story. 😝 Thing is... People debate whether the traveller was right to wipe out a bunch of people for the greater good... Was Taox right to try and wipe out a royal line? It's a complicated thing.

 • It's a shame. She had the right idea no matter how brutal. If she succeeded she could've saved the krill people from becoming the Hive.

 • Yeah those worms are the root of all problems.
