You could also just give a drug dealer the console, or sell it to an individual buyer.

Post says he sold it for drug money, ruling out an exchange with a dealer for drugs unless he worded his edit wrong. Individual buyer, all uncle has to do is say who it was. Same goes if it was a dealer. Man needs to have charges pressed on him anyways so he can be forced into rehab.
