Because Titans desperately needed a good offensive subclass that didn't send them straight into enemy territory just to HOPE to get a kill and then die immediately after. Warlocks had their Nova Bombs that they could use to strike a massive blow from a distance, Hunters had Golden Gun that they could also use from a distance and get many kills while Titans had a defensive bubble and a massive explosion that required danger close proximity to be effective as well as a large congregation of enemies. The risk/ reward ratio was practically 0 unless you got insanely lucky and a mob of enemies or entire fire team was in the same place at the same time. Now Titans have something that has the effectiveness of Nova Bomb with almost the range of Golden Gun which they did desperately needed, imho.

  • Sure. Keep the hammers, but the near invincibility thing is what bothers most people.

It's no different than a Blade Dancer with Hungering Blade (health recovery begins immediately after a kill). Sunbreakers have the same skill but it activates when you kill anything with a solar ability (so it activates when using a charged melee attack to get a kill or a solar grenade kill). Blade Dancers already have such an insane armor buff when using their supers that most of them don't run with Hungering Blade, but the ones who do literally can't be killed while they're using their supers, as long as they're getting kills, unless someone else shuts them down with a super of their own. The point is that it's fair, it's balanced, deal with it.

I don't care about this topic too much, so calm down defensive Titans out there, but you're wrong for two reasons: 1: No, it's not the same as blade, because a bladedancer can't chuck a hammer 50 meters ahead for a kill and health regen. Titans can. 2: No, it is not hard at all to kill a bladedancer that has hungering blade. You shotgun me lee them as they charge toward you helplessly. This happens more now after the blink nerf. Again, the Titan can chuck a hammer from range so he doesn't need to get as close. That being said, I don't really care that Titan's super is OP...which it is. It is better than every other super in every way as far as PvP goes. It's basically fast firing several nova bombs at a little less than golden gun range, while having the armor of bladedancers, if not more, and hungering blade. BUT AGAIN, I don't give a blam. I think Bungie owed Titans, so they paid them well. Let them have their fun. Oh and, if you didn't know, you can make a Titan too. :)

  • Bladedancer arc blade shields got a really hard nerf a while back.

  • But they really aren't. Back before TTK dropped, Warlocks with The Ram were tougher to kill than them.
