I'd say too harsh. Everybody has a comfortable, familiar zone that they fall into of doing things that they enjoy. I guess anybody who puts pieces of themselves into their work begins to notice that over time, they see more and more of the same of themselves. Look at H.R. Geiger for an example off the top of one's head. Any of those old, famous and renowned names from history. They all had their comfortable styles that they fell into. No, I wouldn't say, "not the most creative." This might be baseless rambling. But I think, sometimes there's a limit to how "creative" you should try to be. I know that with me, I always push for more complexity. More of this, more of that. Bigger and better. Grand tapestry, so to speak. When maybe, sometimes it sometimes pays to settle for the fine, simple, homey things. Sometimes it pays so much more to look back on something mundane that you made, small and insignificant compared to what you can normally do, but sharp and defined in its clarity and presciseness. Case and point. Your bundle of lines.
